Nets

The Angling Foundation supports the use of soft, fish-friendly meshes to conserve fish welfare. To this end the Angling Foundation grants to its members the right to use the 'Water Lily' logo on all products it has inspected and deemed 'fish-friendly'.

The Water Lily logo, along with the accompanying registration number, is the angler's guide to ensuring that the product he is using is safe and reaches the conservation standards the Angling Foundation supports. Many fisheries and retailers will only allow the use and sale of such suitably accredited nets.

Any company wishing to submit a net for accreditation should contact the Angling Foundation who will inform them of the process for accreditation.

If you wish to buy a suitably accredited net, please visit our members' page for a list of Angling Foundation members which will allow you to link to their websites.

If you are in any doubt as to whether a product is registered or not, please refer to our products section where details of all approved products can be found.
